1Our position
No formal accessibility audit of HelloDrop — against WCAG or any other standard — has been carried out. We do not claim compliance with any accessibility standard. What follows is an honest account of what the website and the Portal do today, the gaps we already know about, and how to tell us when something does not work for you. We will update this statement as the position changes.
2What is in place today
- Structure. Pages are built with landmarks — header, navigation, main and footer — a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, and one clear page heading with section headings beneath it, so assistive technology can navigate by structure instead of by sight.
- Keyboard. Navigation, menus, buttons and forms work with a keyboard alone. The mobile menu is a real button that announces whether it is open, and interactive elements show a visible focus outline.
- Forms. The sign-in and account forms use labelled fields, and errors are given as text, not colour alone.
- Images. Images carry text alternatives; purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Status in words. In the Portal, a listing's status (for example Sweet Spot, Dead, or Needs a cost) is always written in words as well as shown in colour.
- Motion. In the Portal, animation is reduced when your device is set to reduce motion.
3Known gaps
- There has been no independent audit, so there will be barriers we have not found. Section 4 is currently the fastest way they get fixed.
- The Portal is a dense working tool. Its large listings tables carry a lot on screen at once and are harder to use with assistive technology than the public pages.
If something blocks you, we will provide the information another way while we fix it — just ask (section 4).
4Report a problem
Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and — if you use one — the assistive technology and browser you use. Signed in? You can also use Support inside the Portal. A real person reads every report, and accessibility reports go on the fix list, not in a drawer.
