1What HelloDrop is
The Repricer (this website, in the Portal) watches your listings' real sales and adjusts prices towards each listing's Sweet Spot — the price at which it sells best — always inside a range you set, and never below the minimum profit you choose.
The Chrome extension works inside your own signed-in browser on eBay and AliExpress: product research and sold-history analysis while you source, one-click listing creation, supplier matching, and help with orders and checkout. It is free on the Chrome Web Store.
The two work separately or together: the extension can fetch your Seller Hub reports in your own session and hand them to the Repricer, or you can download the reports from eBay yourself and upload them. Either way, the data moves in your browser session — there is no other pipe.
2Who it is for
HelloDrop is made for eBay sellers who dropship — sellers who list products sourced from suppliers such as AliExpress and Amazon, and order from the supplier when a sale comes in. It suits solo sellers and small teams alike: a store can invite team members, and every price change is still approved by a person unless you decide otherwise.
If you hold your own stock and set prices by hand once a season, HelloDrop is more machinery than you need. If you run dozens or hundreds of dropshipped listings and prices need constant small adjustments to keep selling, that is exactly the job it was built for.
3How the Repricer works
- You set the range. For each listing you choose the least you will accept (your floor) and the most you will charge (your ceiling). The floor is worked out after all fees — eBay's category fee, your ad rate, the per-order fee, the regulatory fee and VAT — plus any minimum profit, margin or ROI you set.
- HelloDrop learns the pace. From your real orders it tracks how each listing sells at each price: selling fast, steady, slowing, or not at all.
- It steps the price. On your change day HelloDrop counts each listing’s orders, finds its band and moves the price one small step: down when it is not selling, up when it sells well, holding in between — never below your floor. A listing selling at a sweet pace is left alone — locked at its Sweet Spot.
- You approve. Suggested changes line up in Review. Nothing is published to eBay until you approve it, unless you switch on Auto-publish for the store.
The full walkthrough, with examples, is in the guide.
4How it works without the eBay API
HelloDrop never asks for eBay API keys and never asks for your eBay password. It works the way you work: with the reports eBay itself gives you in Seller Hub, and with your own signed-in browser session through the extension. Price changes go back to eBay as a revision file you approve, uploaded the same way you would upload it yourself.
That design has a cost — syncing is a deliberate action in your session, not an invisible background feed — and a benefit: there is no API connection to break, expire or hand your account over to.
5What HelloDrop never does
- It never prices below your floor: at least break-even after all fees, plus your minimum profit. The one exception is a Hook rule you set to a loss yourself, on the listings you pick.
- It never stores your buyers' names, addresses, emails or phone numbers. The extension strips them inside the eBay tab before anything leaves it.
- It never changes a price silently. Changes are approve-first by default; automatic publishing is opt-in, with one switch for the whole store.
- It is not part of eBay, AliExpress or Amazon, and it is not endorsed by them. HelloDrop is an independent tool that works alongside them.
